Breast Care Programs
Dr. Wicher develops Breast Care Programs
for women who want to better manage their lifestyle risk
factors for breast cancer. Modern research shows
that hormone management, changes to diet and lifesytle,
proper supplementation and other preventive approaches can
significantly reduce a womans risk of breast
cancer.
Breast Care
Programs target the following areas related to breast cancer
risk
-
Hormone management
(endocrine system)
-
Inflammation management
-
Liver functioning
-
Immune, lymph and vascular systems
-
Stress management and mental emotional
support
-
Wellness and nutritional

Breastcare Program start with a 90 minute
initial consultation with Dr. Wicher. She reviews
your personal health history and risk factors with
you and develops an initial Breast Care Program so the patient
can start right away. Additional medical tests, such as
blood or urine, may be ordered so that Dr. Wicher can better
evaluate your risk factors and develop a more targeted program
during your first follow up visit, usually 2-4 weeks
later.
Further follow up consultations are
scheduled on an as needed basis. For women who have more
risk factors, have breast diseases and conditions that need
more medical supervision, monthly appointments are common
for the first 4-6 months. As women move towards a
more “maintainence” oriented program appointments may be
schedule 3-12 months
apart.
